This facility will be available to the families of our veterans and first responders. This means a smoke and alcohol free environment where families are free to interact with one another, and build relationships with similar families in the community. In our experiences, families who connect through similar experiences benefit from one another, through peer counseling.
Our goal is for this facility to be used by many different veterans, first responders, and their families. Most importantly, a place for these heroes to find out the resources that are available to them. To include local organizations, national organizations, local businesses, local job postings, up-coming events, and assistance with the Department of Veteran Affairs benefits. Also this will serve as a space for groups, clubs, and organizations to hold meetings, events, and fundraisers.
This center will also be working with local providers to offer; Group, Individual and Peer-to-Peer Counseling services to these heroes and their families.
When a soldier deploys, the family experiences it also. When a first responder responds to an emergency, the family worries every call. When a hero in our community struggles, the families struggle as well. There are many organizations that help veterans, first responders, and the families of our fallen. Why not help the families of those who came home, and continued to fight. Fight with their past, or fight for their benefits. We are ran by the families of our heroes, for the families of our heroes.
Help us to help these heroes and their families.
